Life's Journey

Today I shall start my journey
into a new state of mind.
All my hopes and all my dreams
shall now start to unwind.

For now I can experience
anything my heart desires.
The strongest winds,
the deepest waters,
the hottest of all fires.

All my life I wished for
a certain time to pass,
And now that it has happened
I just wish for it to last.

What happens when tomorrow
has come and gone again?
When will my days be over,
and what then will begin?
